Co-Sponsorship From MVPC

he Mount Vernon Programming Council fosters community development on the Mount Vernon Campus.  By establishing this co-sponsorship fund, the Mount Vernon Programming Council seeks to promote the Mount Vernon Campus to all students, faculty, and staff as a unique and contributing part of The George Washington University.  Particularly, MVPC will use this fund to support programs and events held on the Mount Vernon Campus that encourage collaboration between the hosting student organization and the student-run MVPC.

All groups must meet the following criteria to be considered for co-sponsorship funds.

    • You must be a registered GW student organizations and/or a GW affiliated student group.
    • The amount requested must be under $500.00.
    • Requests must be submitted to the Programming Council at least four weeks prior to an event.
    • The program must originate or be held on the Mount Vernon Campus and be open to all GW students.
    • You must be willing to hear suggestions from the MVPC as they reserve the right to request changes to any program before releasing funds. Any changes to a program (changes from the proposal) must be approved by MVPC. Changes without approval could result in denial of co-sponsorship money.
    • MVPC must be noted as a co-sponsor in all phases of the program’s promotion, and their logo must be used on all forms of publicity. All forms of advertising and promotion must be pre-approved by MVPC.
    • Co-sponsorship is exclusively for non-profit events. Any profit realized from an MVPC co-sponsored event must be justified in writing during the program proposal and presentation.
    • A final budget for the event must be submitted within four weeks after the completion of the program. If granted funds are not claimed within 1 month after the event, the funds will no longer be available.
