Don’t have a valentine? Don’t worry! Come celebrate the season of love with Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck as we watch Roman Holiday in Ames Pub Tuesday Feb. 16th at 7:30!!!

Don’t be sad that we may have to spend the weekend on the Vern! Get excited for sledding and hot chocolate!! MVPC will be checking out sleds and serving hot chocolate in the GDub Java Lounge this Saturday, February 6, from 12-2. So get your winter coat on and join us in the lounge.

Not happy with your scores from the first Vern Cup competition, Iron Chef? Improve your team’s score during the next competition – a Video Game Tournament! It’s Friday, February 5, from 6-8 in Eckles! Teams can play Mario Kart and Madden ’10, but will ultimately compete for the best score in Rock Band! Not good at video games? Then stop by for FREE pizza and wings and cheer on your teammates and neighbors! The Vern Cup is a semester-long competition among the halls at Mount Vernon. We are no longer accepting registrations for Iron Chef.  We hope to see you out supporting your residence hall!

It’s that time of year again! Think of your favorite Fall things. They probably include the leaves changing color, pumpkin carving, autumn crafts, and enjoying the last rays of sun. So why not get all of these at ONE EVENT?! Come to Mount Vernon Programming Council’s Octoberfest – a Fall celebration full of free food, activities, contests, and outdoor performances. We’ll even give you the pumpkins to carve! This don’t-miss event is Saturday, October 17th from 2-5pm on the Mount Vernon Quad. There’s no better way to welcome autumn!

I look forward to this every year.. and will totally come back for it after I graduate. We’ll see you there.
