Put your culinary skills to the test. On Wacky Wednesday, February 1st, from 8:30pm – 11pm, teams of 3 to 8 will create 3 course meals in the residence hall kitchens of the Mount Vernon Campus. Teams must use the secret ingredient, which will be revealed on the day of the competition. A panel of judges will decide which meal is the best! Sign up by clicking on this link. On Sunday, November 20th, from 12pm to 5pm, Mount Vernon Programming Council will be hosting a soccer tournament. Only GW students may participate. FREE FOOD will be provided. Register as a team or as an individual by filling out this form.

Yesterday, October 15th, we held our annual Octoberfest. After so many weeks of rain, the weather cleared up just in time for students and families to come out and enjoy a day of games, crafts, pumpkin decorating, and even an impromptu magic show! Here are some photos:

The Vern Cup 2011 Competition is coming to an end, but… not without a grand finale! Come show off the fashion sense of your favorite film or TV characters at the last event of the Vern Cup. For example, if you really love “That 70′s Show,” you would wear clothes from the 70′s decade, or if you’re into the “Big Bang Theory,” then you would decorate yourself in a nerdy way 
As per usual, teams go by House Proctors, but unlike the rest of Vern Cup, you do NOT need to sign up for this; just grace us with your presence!
If you have participated in the previous events, you must have some points accumulated, so why not win the cup? This is your LAST CHANCE FOR VERN CUP POINTS! The winners of The Vern Cup 2011 Competition will be announced at the Fashion Extravaganza and the prize will be handed to them at 7:30pm. If you have competed before, please try your best to attend this event as you might be the winners!!!
Everyone is encouraged to show their support for their friends and fellow competitors.
